As expected, Covid-19 has had an impact on Firecorps daily running’s, from site closures, suppliers working fewer hours and manufacturers lead time slowing down to name but a few. We have managed to continue trading, but at a slower pace than usual. As we are BAFE accredited, Firecorp are classed as essential workers and have therefore been able to keep as many employees working as we possibly can but have had to furlough some office staff. We’d like to pay a massive thanks to Craig and the staff at BFS Accountants for going above and beyond to ensure we are kept up to date with any changes made by the government that will effect our business, what we are entitled too and taking care of furlough. As sites begin to reopen we are keen to get stuck back in to bring jobs up to date ensuring we keep to strict social distancing measures wherever possible. All clients have been issued revised RAMS with how we plan to keep both our employees, the general public and other contractors safe whilst sticking to the current government guidelines.
