RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire is one of two RAF Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) Stations which protect UK airspace (RAF Lossiemouth is the other).
RAF Coningsby is home to two frontline, combat-ready squadrons and is the training station for Typhoon pilots.
Almost 3,000 Service Personnel, Civil Servants, and contractors work at RAF Coningsby.
Firecorp were keen to secure works at RAF Coningsby and after a long tender process, became successful. We were contracted to Design, Supply, Install and Commission the Fire Alarm, Data, PA and EVCS Systems along with Gas Suppression at Squadron 12. After an initial delay, works commenced on site for us in November 2019 – this is a short program of works, with a very tight schedule, we expect to complete by the end of February 2020.

After completion of 12 Squadron at RAF Coningsby – Galiford Try and Premier Modular were so impressed with both our performance on site and continued support after handover, they put our names forward for to supply, install, test and commission the PA System within the Accommodation Block and the Majalis Building. At Firecorp, we believe that maintaining relationships with our clients is essential and our support continues long after the project ends. Works are due to commence on site in January 2021 and we look forward to showing Wilwright Electrical the extensive knowledge and excellent workmanship that impressed the main contractor on the first phase.

Cogent have been in partnership with Firecorp Secure Solutions Ltd for almost 3 years. These have been on some difficult projects, where their technical assistance and professionalism in working alongside the main client – not only in there install works, but, throughout preconstruction design works has been excellent.

Their time keeping and keeping up to date with the latest health and safety regulations has also been carried out throughout all projects to a very high standard.
