We are proud to have secured our first project working alongside Irish giants King & Moffatt. We have been tasked with designing and installing a fully L1 compliant and BAFE SP203 fire alarm detection system throughout a 230,384 sq ft warehouse and distribution centre in the midlands. Firstly, we had to overcome some challenges extending and incorporating an existing Advanced MXPRO4 system, before designing a system that comprised of automatic fire detection throughout office, packing and storage areas. Due to several environmental restrictions, including chillers, freezers, and high-level obstacles, we elected to install a mixture of VESDA aspirating detection and high-level, long-range beams to supplement the AFD. All the devices and equipment had to be carefully coordinated with the other trades on site. To ensure that we achieved strict design sign-off we had to make sure every area was covered by detection and that a clear line of sight was achieved at high-level.
